Pattern of Services
The monthly pattern of Services as follows. With the exception of the Family Service, all Services at Arlington use the litany of Common Worship (Traditional).
1st SUNDAY: 9.30am Family Service (with Communion)
2nd SUNDAY: 9.30am Parish Communion
3rd SUNDAY: 9.30am Parish Communion
4th SUNDAY: 9.00am Parish Communion (said)
5th SUNDAY:10.00am Benefice Eucharist.
Easter Services 2009
At Arlington
Sunday 22nd March: 9.30am Parish Communion for Mothering Sunday
Wednesday 25th March: 6.30pm Benefice service of Holy Communion for the Feast of the Annunciation
Sunday 29th March: 10.00am Benefice service of Holy Communion for Passion Sunday
Holy Week
Sunday 5th April: 10.00am At Wilmington, Benefice service incorporating the Palm Sunday Procession, solemn reading of the Passion and Holy Communion.
Thursday 9th April: 7.30pm At Arlington, Commemoration of the Last Supper for the Benefice followed by the Watch of the Passion
Friday 10th April: 1.00 – 3.00pm At Folkington, Solemn Liturgy for Good Friday:
Entry of the Holy Cross; the Readings; the Prayers
followed by Ante-Communion.
(The congregation may enter and leave the church at
any time during this service but are requested to do so
quietly and without conversation.)
Saturday 11th April: 7.30pm At Arlington, The Easter Vigil with the lighting and blessing of the New Fire; singing of the Exultet(Easter proclamation); Readings; Solemn Blessing of the Baptismal Waters and the Renewal of Baptismal Vows
Easter Day 12th April: 9.30am At Arlington, Parish Communion for the Day of the Lord's Resurrection
